Born in 1956, she was awarded a Diploma in Translation and Interpreting by SSIT "Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori" in Bologna (English and German) in 1981, presenting two theses on Epidemiology. 

Various study periods in England and in Germany with private families attending language courses (Germany: Göthe-Institut - Rothenburg o.d. Tauber).

From 1980 to 1981 she worked as a self-employed professional within various specialised fields (medicine, law, business, technical subjects of all kinds) for various translation agencies as well as for direct clients.

Liaison interpreter at Trade Fairs in Italy and abroad, in particular in the USA, Canada, Germany and the former Democratic Republic of Germany.

At the end of 1981 she opened a translation agency in her native city (Ancona), which she successfully managed for seventeen years, acting both as a Project Manager and translator.

During this period she worked with various leading Italian companies, specialising in sectors such as patents, law (contracts), technical subjects and medicine.

In 1998 she moved to Beijing (China) with her family, where she lived until 2001, teaching Italian to Chinese students.

In 2004, she then moved to Tripoli (Libya), where she resided for one year.

Since 2005 she has been an ordinary certified member of A.I.T.I (The Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters).

In 2005, together with some colleagues, she founded the "Comitato ALTRINIT" association, the sole aim of which is to establish a professional roll of translators and interpreters.

From 2006 to 2008 she lived periodically in New Delhi (India).

She currently works exclusively on a freelance basis.
